The Buzz & Bones Farm Wild Bees Research Center is a Missouri-based nonprofit dedicated to wild bee research, conservation, and environmental education.
Located within Buzz & Bones Farm’s agritourism and prehistoric learning environment, the center blends hands-on ecological science with immersive, family-friendly experiences.
The center supports research on native bee species, pollinator behavior, and habitat restoration while guiding visitors through interconnected dinosaur-themed trails that highlight biodiversity, evolution, and environmental balance. Interpretive signage connects prehistoric life with modern conservation and pollinator ecology.
Through partnerships with universities, K–12 schools, museums, and community organizations, the center offers research opportunities, conservation workshops, youth STEM programs, guided educational tours, Summer Camps and public outreach initiatives.
Buzz & Bones Park – Guided Expedition Experience
- Total capacity: 75 guests per session (groups of 25)
- Total experience length: Approximately 2 hours
- Each group rotates through three 40-minute guided expedition zones
Daily Schedule
- 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Expedition
- 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Expedition
- 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Expedition
- 7:00 PM Park Closing
Expedition Zones:
Zone 1 – Driven by Design Expedition
A 40-minute guided experience sponsored by KC Top Gears, featuring iconic movie cars and props (Lightning McQueen, Batmobile, Ghostbusters, Star Wars, and more), along with a bouncy house, food service, picnic area, and restrooms.

Zone 2 – Herbivores & Wild Bees Expedition
A 40-minute guided trail experience featuring fossil and Ostriches egg digging activities, herbivore habitats, scenic trails, Wild Bees Habitats and potential wild honey tasting.
Zone 3 – Carnivore Expedition
A 40-minute guided mini-Jeep tour led by two guides through carnivore territory, ending in “Death Valley.”
Zone 4 – Master Jeep Adventure Trail (Optional Add-On)
A Jeep/ATV/UTV trail through the Muddy East Fork River with rest areas, dinosaur encounters, muddy terrain, and river crossings.( including The Black Diamond T-Rex River Crossing to T-Rex Island).

Puppeteer baby dinosaurs, welcome guests, manage entry points, and support guest flow.
